This is from Trip Leader, Russ Myer, describing the adventure….

“Our Nepal 2023 adventure will take us on the Gosainkunda trek in Langtang National Park. The adventure that awaits you, from the starting town of Dhunchi to the glacier lake of Gosaikunda (which sits at 4380m - 14,370 feet) is a life changing experience. The first few days are spent ascending through the forests before you reach treeline at Cholang Pati from where you get your first glimpse of the towering Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal and Annapurna in the far distance. We will immerse ourselves in the way of life of the local Nepali by staying in teahouses along the route.

The Gosaikunda trek is leveled as medium hard in terms of difficulty though the level of difficulty depends on other things such as age factor, your trekking habit and physical fitness. Due to the level of difficulty, there will be mandatory training goals that must be met to make this trip. Don’t worry, if you follow the training plan, you will accomplish this trek.”

General information:

Nepal is a land of adventure- famous for trekking, motorcycling, and adventure sports such as bungee jumping and paragliding. If you are a person who enjoys a challenge, our “Adventure Trip” is the one for you. We believe in “Adventure with a purpose” and each of our adventure trips includes service to give back to this incredible country and its people. One of our favorite aspects of the trip includes trekking through the Himalayas with our partner organization Five14. Five14’s mission statement is “Preventing exploitation through ethical and responsible tourism. Stopping Human Exploitation by creating jobs.” Our first TTEOTE trip with Five14 took place in December 2019. Read what participants had to say:

“Trekking in 2019 was an experience of a lifetime. We got to test our physical and mental limits, immerse ourselves in a different culture by eating, drinking, trekking, and sharing stories around a fire in the mornings and evenings with others from all over the world. The views we had going up and down the mountain were unreal. Pictures will never do them justice. We literally ate a meal in the clouds before trekking over them! I’ll never forget how beautiful it was to see the mountain’s peak over the clouds from above. When we arrived back in Katmandu, we stayed in one of the best lodges at Five14. The hosts were very friendly and informative. They were always ready to help and offer their experiences. We had hot showers and comfortable beds with the best French toast and hot chocolate in the mornings at the cafe. I would absolutely go back rain or shine. Or even in my case.... snow :).” -Donna Munn 2019 Trip Participant

Teacher Training Trip

Covid-permitting, we are planning a teacher-training trip in 2022. Not only will we be providing training, but we are also looking for participants to help paint classrooms, murals, garden, build playgrounds, etc. Please click the button below or email our trips director directly at daniel.siberio@totheendsofthe.earth

Calling all educators! We are looking for teachers who have a heart for adventure to join us in facilitating teacher training for new teachers at Hasta Memorial School. Hasta Memorial School was founded by a survivor of trafficking, Anjali Tamang. Anjali’s dream was to start a school in her home village, one of the most notoriously trafficked villages in Nepal, to help prevent trafficking to India at the source. Her school will be both restorative to survivors of trafficking, as well as preventative by providing an education to impoverished children. Join us as we travel from Kathmandu to Nuwakot to help train and equip the educators or Hasta Memorial School. Plus ones are more than welcome and we will have plenty of projects for them to assist with during the teacher training!
