General FAQ
Q. Is it safe to donate?
A. Absolutely!!! We use Paypal for ease and and security. Alternately we can accept checks, cash, or monthly ACH donations from a bank account. Just ask us how.
Q. Are you a non profit? Can I get a donation receipt?
A. Yes. We are a recognized 501 (c) (3) and send out donation documentation in January of the following year. If you donate on PAYPAL Giving (a non profit subsidiary of PAYPAL), they will send you a receipt also.
Q. Does my donation make a difference? Doesn’t most of this money go to salaries and office expenses?
A. It makes a HUGE difference. Currently no one draws a salary and we send almost everything (about 96%) to serve needs in India and Nepal. We do have to pay a little for website presence, some paypal fees, and other fees. When we are large enough to pay someone, we will let you know.
Q. Can I visit your partners in India/Nepal?
A. Absolutely!!!! We schedule a few trips a year and have other groups that would love to have you go and meet the boys and girls.

A. Currently we have 50 students in India and are gathering students in Nepal that are in need of sponsorship. We are working on securing sponsorship for each of these students before we expand.

A. At TTEOTE while we believe every child and person is worthy of love, support, and an education, we focus specifically on survivors of sex-trafficking and sexual abuse.

Sponsorship FAQ
Q. How to Contact Your Sponsee?
A. To The Ends of The Earth encourages relationships between sponsors and their sponsor child. We want to empower you to get connected with your child, hear about their dreams, and encourage them towards greatness. Follow these steps to get connected to your child:
Write an email message to the sponsorship@totheendsofthe.earth email address with this information at the top of your message:
Sponsor’s Name
Child’s Name
Location (Kolkata or Kathmandu)
Send your letter, family pictures, encouragement, etc. to the email above and we will pass it on to your sponsor child.
Wait for your child’s response to return through the sponsorship team’s email!
Q. What happens if I can no longer continue my sponsorship?
A. If you are unable to continue with your sponsorship we will work hard to secure another sponsor so there is no lapse in a sponsee’s educational support, however we cannot guarantee that we will find a sponsor right away and we encourage you to begin your sponsorship with the intention of seeing it through.
Q. What does sponsorship mean?
A. When a sponsorship begins it means that a supporter in the United States is committing to a supportive relationship with a student in Nepal or India in which they provide the necessary funds to ensure that sponsee receives everything they need to be successful in their educational pursuits.
Q. How long is my sponsorship commitment?
A. The sponsorship program is designed to have you partner with your sponsee until they have finished with their educational pursuits. However, this is only for the time that they are under the care of our partners which can run from 1 year to 15+ years. We provide the opportunity for sponsors to support their sponsee for the entire duration of their stay with our partners. However, we understand that circumstances arise in which continuation of sponsorship is no longer possible and sponsors can stop their sponsorship at any time. Furthermore, sometimes sponsorship will be cut short due to a sponsee moving away or leaving the home for a variety of reasons. In this case, sponsors are free to discontinue their sponsorship or sponsor another student.
Q. How many sponsors does each sponsee have?
A. Typically each sponsee has only one individual or family that sponsors their education. However, if someone is wanting to sponsor a student but cannot afford the entire amount each month and wants to split the sponsorship with a friend or family member, we encourage that as well.
Q. Can I send gifts to my sponsee?
A. Yes! We encourage sponsors to send a one-time monetary donation for events such as birthdays, Christmas, graduations, etc. We will take this gift and use it in its entirety to purchase a gift appropriate for the occasion that is suited to your sponsee.
Q. What benefits will my sponsee receive?
A. Your sponsorship provides your sponsee with everything they need to attend to and succeed in their studies. This includes, tuition, uniform costs, transportation costs, books and materials, and a small stipend so that your sponsee can focus on their studies.
Q. Must I hold any specific beliefs to be a sponsor?
A. While we are a secular organization, many of our sponsees are Christians and thus we try to match with a sponsor that carries similar beliefs. However, we accept anyone who is willing to sponsor a student regardless of their religious beliefs.
Q. Can I visit my sponsee?
A. With Covid-19, international travel is still up in the air but we do plan on hosting sponsorship trips as early as late 2021. More details on this to come. For up-to-date information please see the “Trips” tab.
